Vanessa Hatje named 2022 Gast Lecturer

Congratulations to Prof. Vanessa Hatje of the Universidade Federal da Bahia, Campus Ondina (Brazil), past GEOTRACES SSC member and member of the SCOR Committee on Capacity Development, for being selected by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry to deliver this year’s Paul Gast Lecture during Goldschmidt 2022 Conference.

The lecture is awarded to a mid-career scientist for outstanding contributions to geochemistry. Prof. Hatje talk will be on “Rare-earth elements: tracers of natural and anthropogenic processes along the continent-ocean continuum.”
