Please consider nominating GEOTRACES IDP2025 as an Impactful Dataset

Dear GEOTRACES colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to an initiative from the American Geophysical Union (AGU), which is soliciting nominations for “Impactful Datasets” in the Earth, space, and environmental sciences. We believe that the GEOTRACES Intermediate Data Product 2025 (IDP2025) is an outstanding candidate.

The goal of this initiative is to recognise datasets that support the broad spectrum of research, analysis, and decision making. Nominations ask contributors to describe, in their own words, how a dataset has impacted their work and the broader scientific community.

Importantly, individual nominations are encouraged, and multiple nominations for the same dataset are welcomed. Each nomination provides a unique perspective on the value and impact of the dataset, so we hope that as many members of the GEOTRACES community as possible will submit a nomination for IDP2025.

We have been informed that there is currently no formal deadline for submitting nominations, so nominations can be submitted on an ongoing basis.
