GEOTRACES Annual Reports to SCOR

Each year GEOTRACES submits an annual report of its activities to the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR), the international body that provides oversight for the GEOTRACES programme. SCOR members review the reports of SCOR-sponsored programmes at their annual meeting and provide feedback to the programmes as appropriate. SCOR created a Planning Committee for GEOTRACES in early 2004 to prepare a Science Plan and to establish enabling activities that would support the development of the main research effort. Annual reports for 2004 – 2006 reflect the activities of the Planning Committee. In 2007, following publication of the GEOTRACES Science Plan, SCOR set up a Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) to guide the further development, implementation and international coordination of GEOTRACES. Annual reports from 2007 onwards describe the activities of the SSC. Annual reports can be downloaded as PDF files from the links below.
