Dr Philip Boyd and his team won a top science prize

Professor Philip Boyd, GEOTRACES SSC member, and his team at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA, Auckland, New Zealand) have been awarded the top New Zealand’s Prime Minister’s Science Prize for their research findings on the ocean iron enrichment experiments which are helping to guide global debate on how to mitigate the effects of climate change.

The Prime Minister’s Science Prize is one of the most highest New Zealand’s honours and it is worth $500.000.
