Update on the GP13 Cruise

The Australian leg of the GP13 Cruise (SW Pacific Ocean) was successfully completed (13 May – 5 June). This project undertook an integrated oceanographic transect and dust monitoring program for iron, other trace elements, and their isotopes (TEIs) along the western end of the GP13 zonal section (~30oS) east of Australia.The Australian leg of GP13 arrived in Auckland (New Zealand) on June 5, where the scientific equipment was transferred to the New Zealand vessel RV Tangaroa which sailed to extend the line further east into the South Pacific (7 June – 30 June).
