New GEOTRACES webODV services released

Dear GEOTRACES Community,

We are happy to announce a new release of the webODV online services for GEOTRACES.

The well-proven data extractor now has a fresher, clearer look as well as a new station selection feature by date and time. In addition, users can now plot and inspect their selected data using the new data overview page before starting the actual download.

As second service, we introduce the completely new data explorer that provides ODV-like analysis and visualization of GEOTRACES data in the web browser. No software installation nor data download are required. The IDP2017 discrete dataset comes with all views used for the eGEOTRACES section plots. Activating one of these views via View > Load View is the easiest way to get started with the exploration of GEOTRACES data.

Visit the GEOTRACES webODV services at https://geotraces.webodv.awi.de/. Log in using your webODV account, or register, if you do not have a webODV account yet. Then select a GEOTRACES dataset and choose either the extractor or the explorer service.
