In memory of Dr. Chibo Chikwililwa

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dr. Chibo Chikwililwa on 23 June 2021 due to complications from COVID-19.

Chibo was researcher at the University of Namibia and was appointed GEOTRACES national representative for Namibia in 2019. Since 2016, she was co-director and member of the SCOR’s Regional Graduate Networks of Oceanography (RGNO) committee that organises the annual RGNO Ocean discovery camps.

Chibo was an extraordinary and enthusiastic marine science researcher, teacher and mentor. A summary of her scientific career and contributions is available here.
