GEOTRACES scientific results presented at Ocean Sciences Meeting 2014

GEOTRACES had a large presence at the 2014 Ocean Science Meeting (23-28 February 2014, Honolulu, Hawaii, US). In addition of the Town Hall Meeting organized to release the GEOTRACES Intermediate Data Product 2014, GEOTRACES scientific results were presented at the seven GEOTRACES-related sessions:

Poster OS2014 l*Advancing the frontiers of the Si cycle in terrestrial, coastal, and open ocean ecosystems (session 018)

*Dynamics of Coupled Processes in the Ocean: A tribute to the career of Dr. James Murray (session 037)

*Biogeochemistry of Trace Elements and their Isotopes (session 080)

*From VERTEX to GEOTRACES: honoring Ken Bruland’s contributions to marine biogeochemical cycles (session 092)

*Application of natural and anthropogenic radionuclides to the study of ocean processes (session 114)

*Advances in approaches to assess metal-binding organic ligands and perspectives on the impacts of ligands on metal-biota interactions in the oceans (session 116)

*Submarine Groundwater Discharge – from Ridge to Reef: Groundwater Evolution, Climate, Land-Use, Coastal Hydrology and Marine Biogeochemical Impacts (session 060)

The complete abstracts of all presentations are available on both the GEOTRACES and the Ocean Science web sites.
