GEOTRACES Summer School
Dates: 21 – 27 November 2025
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Background
The GEOTRACES Summer School 2025 will take place from 17 to 21 November 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa. It will provide training in marine biogeochemistry of trace elements and their isotopes for 36 students.
The training will include a combination of lectures, practicals, and field work, all led by 15 international GEOTRACES experts.
Registration fee and travel grants
The registration fee is 300€ and will include accommodation and meals for the week. Travel grants may be available. Please indicate if you need travel support in your motivation letter.
Deadline for applications
Pre-registration is open until June 30th, 2025. Applications will be subject to selection.
Successful applicants will be notified by July 15th, 2025.
Registration will then remain open until September 30th, 2025.
