We are excited to announce a new USGS Mendenhall Research Fellowship Program Research Opportunity:
21-32. Isotope geochemistry applications for improved coastal and marine risk mitigation
We are looking to hire an independent and highly-motivated scientist for a Postdoctoral Fellow position with the USGS’ Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center (PCMSC) in Santa Cruz California. The candidate should have a strong background in marine geochemistry and/or isotopic applications to advance our understanding of diverse coastal and marine processes, such as climate- and ocean-change impacts, sediment transport, biogeochemical cycles, coastal groundwater exchange, permafrost dynamics, and hydrologic controls on geohazards.
Interested applicants are encouraged to contact the Research Advisors listed below early in the application process to develop project concepts.
More information on the Mendenhall Research Opportunity, Qualifications, FAQs, etc. can be found at https://www.usgs.gov/centers/mendenhall-research-fellowship-program
Note that preference is given to US citizens and permanent residents. Criteria for non-US citizens can be found here: https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/working-in-government/non-citizens/
