The Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research, Germany are looking for an enthusiastic ocean iron modeller working on
“Response of the Southern Ocean biological carbon pump to climate-related changes in iron supply”.
The selected candidate will analyze observations of natural iron fertilization in the Southern Ocean and data collected during the artificial iron fertilization experiment EIFEX, improve model parameterisations of the response of biological pump to perturbation in iron supply, and run simulations under future conditions with changes in iron supply.
